AWAHNEE MS GYM HVAC

Dynamic Electrical Contracting & Controls, Inc. is currently performing electrical construction for the Ahwahnee Middle School Gym HVAC Replacement Project in Clovis, California, part of Fresno Unified School District’s campus infrastructure modernization program. The project focuses on upgrading the school’s mechanical systems by replacing aging air handling equipment with new high-efficiency heat pump HVAC units and integrating the systems into the district’s building energy management system.

Dynamic Electrical’s scope includes installation of new electrical infrastructure required to support the upgraded HVAC systems and associated equipment. Work includes selective demolition of existing electrical components, installation of a new 400-amp breaker at the main switchboard, new feeder wiring, and installation of a new distribution board serving the mechanical systems. Electrical work also includes providing power connections to new HVAC units, grounding systems, and underground electrical installations including trenching, conduit systems, sand encasement, and backfill as required to support the new equipment.

Additional work includes modifications to the campus fire alarm system and integration with duct detector systems, as well as coordination with mechanical contractors and campus operations to perform required electrical shutdowns and tie-ins while maintaining safe school operations.

The project is currently in progress, and once completed will provide Ahwahnee Middle School with upgraded mechanical infrastructure supported by reliable electrical distribution systems designed to improve energy efficiency, building performance, and long-term facility reliability.
